The Mulberry Bush School
Joanna Trollope OBE is a British Author and Patron of The Mulberry Bush School.
She grew up in the Cotswolds and this early life experience influenced much of her work. Whilst being very open about the fact that she was not someone who loved her time at school, she went on to win a scholarship to Oxford University. After graduating, she joined the Foreign Office and then later became an English teacher. She's been a full-time writer since 1980 with a huge body of acclaimed work to her name, but unusually, she still writes in longhand, with a pen and paper - not a computer in sight. It's this crafting and the fact that she literally writes anywhere from kitchen table to airport departure lounge that makes her work so relatable and organic.
She's also a patron of eleven different charities, one of which is The Mulberry Bush School and she recently visited the school to have a look at the new adventure play that we recently completed.
Here she is, pictured with Lee Wright, Director of The Mulberry Bush School, enjoying her time clambering around the new adventure play.
